AIRPORT TRANSFERS By Coach.....THE FACTS !
Prestwick Airport provides a coach service for passengers arriving late or catching early morning flights, and at the time of writing the details of the coach service as advertised at the airport are as follows :
Coach leaves the airport at 00:15 , arriving at Glasgow Buchanan St. bus station at approx 01:00.
Coach leaves Glasgow Buchanan St. bus station at 04:45 am and arrives at Prestwick Airport , 05:30am.
The Fare for the coach is £8 per person and journey time can be as much as up to an hour.
Compare the facts :
Although the coach is supposed to leave the airport at 00:15, it sometimes leaves much later than this as it will wait for the very last passenger, ( Imagine the problems this can cause the ones meeting you ! )
Taxi Fare with us is only £ 50. (5 Seats ) or only £ 75..(6 ,7, or 8 Seats ), This is only an extra few pounds which can work out LESS THAN THE BUS !!! ......( no additional costs for taxis, trains, etc )
The coach goes direct point to point......no flexibility......but a taxi can take you straight to your home or hotel in only 40 - 45 minutes !
Do you really want to have to leave at 05:00am to catch a 9am flight when you don't really need to ? .Why Not Stay in bed another hour or so !
Do you really want yourself or a member of your family ( especially if you / they do not speak much of the language ), dumped at a bus station where there may be undesirables lurking about and possibly find it hard to get a cab ? ( particularly on a busy weekend night when city cabs are busy ! ) not to mention the additional cost of having to get a city cab !
